Live Music: Pablo Montanelli
Pablo is a tango pianist, composer, and DJ.
He was born in Buenos Aires in 1971 and grew up in a family of tangueros.
He was the artistic director of El Cachivache for 10 years, leading the group on worldwide tours with a danceable tango style and a contemporary sound.
Since 2016, he has developed his solo piano career, performing both traditional and modern tango milonguero, as well as his own new compositions, and has recorded seven albums.
Today, he presents ORKESTA MONTANELLI (OM) at milongas and festivals around the world.
Workshop with Mira Tschaeni und Elvio Avila
Topic: Enrosques & Lapis in Turns
We will work with a selected combination of enrosques and lapis – each with a specific application for followers and leaders. As turning movements, we will use the giro and the calesita.
Starting from a clear sequence, we will then move into experimentation and discover further variations together.
MIRA TSCHAENI is an artist and has been dancing tango for many years – both as a leader and as a follower. She shares her passion for dance in workshops and regular classes. With her mobile dance floor, she regularly organizes milongas in unusual locations. In her latest project, she combines art and design with her experience as a dancer and, under the name Miracolora, creates her own dance shoes.
